The Hope Scholarship: moving a bullied child to a private school in Miami-Dade

Florida's Hope Scholarship lets a K-12 public school student who has been bullied, harassed or assaulted transfer to a private school with funding.

How it works

The parent reports the incident to the public school principal; within 15 days the district must notify the family of the Hope Scholarship option. The family then applies through Step Up.

Amount

Hope awards follow the Private School Scholarship amounts for the county and grade band.

Choosing a school quickly
