Sports lessons, team fees, dance, gym or class-pass memberships for the student, safety equipment, sport-specific footwear, uniforms, sports equipment and P.E. equipment (stationary bike, treadmill, playset, bicycle, kayak/paddleboard).
Same; sports supplies rentals are eligible and sports supplies no longer carry a frequency limit (2026-27).
Eligible from leftover funds; athletic fees are also an eligible school fee.
Rules that apply
- P.E. equipment is limited to once every two years.
- Sports-related camps can be submitted under Sports Lessons without provider credentials (2026-27).
- Adaptive exercise equipment and P.E. activities outside Florida require pre-authorization.

- In-ground pools
- Bounce houses
- Sporting event tickets
- Family gym memberships beyond the student's share

Swim lessons are the most common Miami-Dade P.E. reimbursement; goggles, fins and lesson fees are all listed items.
How to buy it
Check MyScholarShop first (anything listed is pre-approved), then Find Providers in EMA for direct pay to tutors, therapists and instructors. Otherwise pay with a card, keep the itemized receipt and submit for reimbursement. Anything not listed as eligible needs a pre-authorization request before you buy; 2026-27 requests close May 28, 2027.
