Hybrid schools that take PEP in Miami-Dade

A PEP hybrid private school is one where the student attends in person at least two full days a week and the family's Student Learning Plan covers the rest. It is the fastest-growing school model in the county.

What qualifies

The school must be an eligible private school in the state directory, the student must not be enrolled full-time, and attendance must be at a physical location at least two full school days per week. Tuition and the standard eligible fees are payable from the PEP account.

What the family keeps

After a typical $3,500-5,000 hybrid tuition, a Miami-Dade PEP family retains $3,000-5,000 for curriculum, tutoring, electives and testing.

Finding them

Hybrid status is not a field in the state directory, so we flag schools as families and schools confirm it. Church-run schools in our directory are the most common hybrids; claim your listing to add the flag.

FES-UA families

Since 2026-27, FES-UA also pays tuition at a hybrid eligible private school, with the same two-day rule and a Student Learning Plan.
